ed sheeran & a new smile.
this Christmas has been a wonderful one, if i do say so myself. filled with snowy cheer and bustling laughter and the sweetest nostalgia…i’ve never felt so at ease. i think it may be the fact that tomorrow, i hop on a train, then a plane, then a bus back to where it all began. tomorrow i head home to Nova Scotia, the place where things make sense.
i think the loveliest part of the Christmas season is that it shows me how much i adore & appreciate my family. surely, like all families, we’ve had our bumps (or potholes) in the road, but we’re inseperable when it truly comes down to it. we’ve all got each other’s backs & i wouldn’t change a single thing about them for the world. we were made to be as one, and that’s how we’re gonna stay.
in other news…santa, being the darling gent that he is, brought me some sweet goodies last night as well! an iPod Classic, sweet DVD’s, new plugs, a wooly sweater, a whole sack of candy & other goodies have left me more jazzed than a jazz square…and i’m told that those are pretty jazzy!
also, i just bought every Ed Sheeran song on iTunes. with a voice like honey and eyes like the sea, he’s done the unthinkable: he’s left me speechless. Ed, i totally ship your covering any song by Bon Iver or Bright Eyes, by the way! just sayin’.
so Happy Christmas & New Year everyone! be thankful for the beautiful people God’s surrounded you with & the love you’ve been generously given. be thankful for laughter and joy, and never forget what matters most.
